The Outstanding Contribution to Nurture Award

At our Summer School 2017 NGN's CEO Kevin Kibble presented Colette Marston with the first Outstanding Contribution to Nurture Award, which as Colette mentions in her article 'Making friends out of strangers', came as a total surprise to her.

For Summer School 2018 we'd like to present an award to another worthy recipient, but this year you'll put forward your nominations for our judging panel to pick the winner.

The Outstanding Contributions to Nurture Award is for an individual who, over a sustained period of time, has shaped the nurture in education community and practice through their actions, leadership or intellect.

This award will be made to the recipient who, in the opinion of the NGN judging panel, has made a profound and lasting contribution to the world of nurture in education, and whose conduct and character enjoy the esteem and admiration of colleagues in the sector.

The individual must have had a long, professional career in the education sector spanning 10 years or more, during which time they will have championed nurture, nurture groups, nurturing schools or other nurture-linked practice that has supported children or young people with SEBD/SEMH.

If you'd like to nominate someone you think has made an outstanding contribution to nurture, you have two routes to do this; you can fill in the  Google Form we've created or use the Word document .

The window for nominations closes on January 22nd 2018 and the winner will be announced in the summer of next year.
